Believe, Achieve, Succeed

Forest School – 17th October 2019

This week we attempted to arrive at Forest School using a tight rope but didn’t manage to get all the way there.

In circle time we discussed the importance of not quitting tasks just because they’re difficult. We also discussed how we are all able to make choices about what we do but we need to be aware that all our choices have consequences and that sometimes the consequences might make us want to reconsider our choices.

We then did an activity called traced bodies. In pairs, the children took it in turns to outline their prostrate partner with natural materials and then personalise their creations.

Child led activities included making rope swings, den building, tool use and using the craft area.

It is essential that all children have multiple warm layers, waterproof coats and wellies at every session.
