Believe, Achieve, Succeed

Welcome to Badger Class 2020-2021

Hi Badger Class,

I cannot wait to see you all on Monday and to welcome you into our class.  I have really missed you all but I hope you have had a great summer and enjoyed yourselves lots!

Here are a few things to remember on Monday:

  • Bring a bag with your stuff in (could be a rucksack or book bag)
  • You must bring in a named water bottle which can stay at school all week
  • Packed lunch (or order a school pack lunch)
  • Coat and packed lunch
  • Wear your PE kit instead of school uniform on Thursdays and Fridays.
  • Summer journal if completed (anytime that first week)
  • No pencil cases needed

I have included some photos below to show you the classroom and how it looks now. I have also tried to show you where you will be dropped off and picked up.

You will need to be dropped off on Station Road at 8:40-8:50 and I will be there to see you into school via the School Lane gate. Then you go straight to the classroom where Mrs Colchester will be waiting. We have to be on time because Squirrel Class have the next time slot after us.

You will need to be collected from the same gate at 3.15pm and I will see you across School Lane to your parents/carers.

We will eat our lunch in the classroom and then go out to play. We have this part of the playground and we cannot go past the picnic benches.

For the first week I will be teaching you for the whole week to help everyone settle back in. After that I will be in class everyday but I might not be teaching you for the full day so here is a list of who will be working with you on each day:

Monday – Miss Best all day

Tuesday – Miss Best in the morning (am), Mrs Gray in the afternoon (pm)

Wednesday – Mrs Gray – am, Miss Best – pm

Thursday – Miss Best – am, Mrs Baker and Mrs Stemp – pm

Friday – Miss Best all day

Mrs Colchester will also be in Badger Class every morning.

I am really looking forward to having you back in school and can’t wait to hear more about your summer holidays.  If you have any questions in the meantime do feel free to email me. My email address has changed and is now MissBest@spoonerrow.norfolk.sch.uk.

Please don’t worry about remembering all of this because I will show you everything on Monday and we can talk about it all then.

Remember it is completely normal to feel excited, nervous, worried, happy, scared or a mixture of everything. I will be with you to help you every step of the way.

Have a lovely weekend and I cannot wait to see you on Monday!

Take care and see you soon,

Miss Best 🙂
